April 21st – Day 2

Another busy busy day.

After unpacking a little, i chose my outfit to wear for the day. i name my coordinated outfits and this one is called “aloha”.

The workers worked hard on it all night and i was able to move in this morning. my house is so cute! It is bigger than a tent but still rather smallish. Mr. Nook said that once i paid off my loan we can talk expansions. Really!? Ok! Time to get to work.

Mr. Blathers also arrived today and was very impressed with my critter finding skills. He is rather terrified of bugs though, which is funny. Just wait till he sees the tarantula i found! He gave me instructions on how to make a vaulting pole so that i can cross the rivers. He said that if i find 15 more specimens, he would be able to summit to have a museum built on the island. That would be a great attraction for other future islanders.

i worked on getting those specimens for Blathers. i found bugs, fish and a few fossils. He was so thrilled to know the island had fossils. Once i gave him all the findings, he could not believe it. He was very excited!

The airport was open so i was able to visit one of the super-secret mini islands around the area. The pilot told me that, for security reasons, they have to destroy each flight plan after we arrive back home. That is strange but ok… i will play by the rules. On one of the islands, i found another islander. Her name was Pinky Panda. She asked me if she could come live on my island and i thought it was a great idea!

Something strange kept happening all day. These balloons would float across the sky with presents attached to them. The presents had all kinds of things in them: crafting materials, furniture, clothes, crafting instructions (DYIs) and bells (the island currency). Each balloon had only one thing in them but it was always a surprise as to which one. Mr. Nook thinks it is a generous nearby islander hoping to help someone who needed them. How thoughtful if that is the case!

i did move all the fruit trees faster than planned to a spot that will be the orchard. i was going to do it tomorrow but i took a break from hunting for new bugs and fish for Blathers. i found out we can harvest from the orange trees every 3 days or so and take the fruit to another island to sell. If they do not have the same native fruit as us, we get a better price. WOOPIE!

i worked very hard all day to pay back my loan to Mr. Nook for the house by selling bugs, fish, and seashells to the Nook twins and selling my island’s fruit to another island. i was able to pay it off in a single day! He was so impressed, he said he was more than happy to give me another loan for 🔔198,000 Bells to expand my house to a medium-sized one. Of course that is a great idea because they also expand the storage closet where i keep all my clothes and misc things. Looks like i have my work cut out for me tomorrow if i want to pay that back as fast as possible too.
